About Mariposa Import

Hello, I am Lori van Echtelt, I am the owner and founder of Mariposa Import, based in the Netherlands.



Mariposa Import started in February of 2004. It is the first and original web-shop dedicated to curly and afro hair in Western Europe. We are specialized in unique, high quality, hair- and skin-products from America and Africa. A lot of these products were not available to the European market till now. We only sell products which we have tested on ourself. We sell products that contain no mineral oil or petroleum. Ingredients that are a barrier against moisture. The selection of products is based on our personal experience and that of our friends.
